Helena Westra is an artist working in sculpture, ceramics, performance, and land art based in San Diego, California.

 

Using a variety of accessible and often locally harvested matter like clay, dirt, and other found materials, Westra’s work is a meditation on letting go and grounding. Tapping into the realm of symbology and archetypes, she utilizes themes of flora and fauna to connect with land and environment. Westra received her AA from MiraCosta College and is pursuing her BA at San Diego State University.
